About the Author

Jelena Čuveljak obtained her degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb, and thereafter, entered professional practice and successfully passed the Bar Exam. She served as a judge at the Commercial Court in Sisak from 2002 to 2011 and at the Commercial Court in Zagreb from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, she was appointed as a judge of the High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia. Her specific areas of specialisation encompass commercial law, including both contractual and statutory aspects, civil process, international payments, bankruptcy, and enforcement. She serves as a professor of professional studies at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, teaching courses in Commercial Law and the Legal Environment of Business. She serves as a lecturer at University North in Croatia, while also teaching courses in Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy Law at the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. She has authored numerous scientific and professional publications, as well as several books, and has been a lecturer at seminars.
