Fahira Brodlija is an advisor for investment law and dispute resolution in a regional GIZ programme in the Western Balkans. Her work includes advisory support for governments in the Western Balkans and abroad on investment treaty and policy design, the design and development of dispute prevention and management mechanisms, and capacity development, including practical training and simulations. Fahira is a lecturer at the International University of Sarajevo, and she frequently writes and speaks on topics related to ISDS reform, investment law, and international dispute resolution more broadly. She is a tutor for the CIArb Diploma programme, a lecturer for the Africa Arbitration Academy programme, and has appeared as a guest lecturer at esteemed universities in Europe and the US, as well as programmes in Africa and Asia. Fahira has authored over 50 articles, most recently published in the ICSID Review, the Penn State Law Review and the European Investment Law and Arbitration Review, with others published in university journals and online platforms such as Kluwer Arbitration Blog. In addition, she has co-edited three books on international commercial and investment arbitration, while contributing chapters to others. She is a member of the Association of Arbitrators (ARBITRI) and founder of the GEM diversity and mentorship programme, which supports young academics and practitioners in international arbitration.
