Tomislav Šimić was born in 1982 in Vinkovci. He graduated in law as one of the best students in his class (cum laude), and he passed the bar exam in 2010 with special commendation. He began his judicial career in 2008 in Zagreb as a judicial trainee, and after he passed the bar exam he worked as a court advisor and senior court advisor. Since 2014, he has been serving as a judge in the courts of Rijeka, Zadar, and Sesvete, where he has worked on civil, labour, criminal, enforcement, non-contentious, and land registry cases and has resolved a significant number of disputes through mediation. Since October 2024 he serves as a judge at the Civil Department of the County Court in Osijek. He is a co-author of the book "The Law on Civil Procedure in Judicial Practice" (2019) and publishes professional papers on civil, labour, and criminal law, focusing on the analysis of judicial practice. He is a fighter for justice and fairness.
