Gloria Gudelj is a Deputy Municipal State Attorney at the Municipal Criminal State Attorney’s Office in Zagreb, and is currently assigned to the Department for Economic Crime. She was born in Osijek in 1993 and graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, in 2018, having defended her thesis titled ‘Protection of the Crown Witness in the Republic of Croatia’ (Zaštita krunskog svjedoka u Republici Hrvatskoj). During her traineeship, she participated in THEMIS, an international call for judicial trainees organised by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). In November 2021, she passed the bar examination, and in the 2023/2024 academic year, she completed the State School for Judicial Officials programme. She is the author of ‘Criminal Procedure and the Enforcement of Sentences in the Third Reich’ (Kazneni postupak i izvršenje kazni u Trećem Reichu) (2018) and ‘The Legal Regulation of Stalking in Croatian and Foreign Legislation’ (Pravno uređenje nametljivog ponašanja u hrvatskom i stranom zakonodavstvu) (2019), and co-author of ‘The Position of the Female Victim in Criminal Proceedings Concerning Sexual Violence: De Facto and De Iure Challenges’ (2020) and ‘(Criminal) Law and (Public) Order as an Instrument for Preventing or Creating Violence?
