Katija Kristović has been a County State Attorney at the County State Attorney’s Office in Dubrovnik since May 2023. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Split in January 1988. In September 1989, she became a state attorney trainee at the then District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Dubrovnik, part of which she completed at the then Municipal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Opatija during her displacement in the Homeland War. From February 1992 to May 1993, she was a legal associate at the Municipal State Attorney’s Office in Dubrovnik. In May 1994, she became a Deputy Municipal State Attorney at the Municipal State Attorney’s Office in Dubrovnik. After serving on two occasions as Acting Municipal State Attorney at the Municipal State Attorney’s Office in Dubrovnik, she served as Municipal State Attorney from January 1998 to February 2010, and as Deputy County State Attorney at the County State Attorney’s Office in Dubrovnik from February 2010 to May 2023. She was a member of the State Attorney’s Council during its term from February 2011 to February 2015 and from February 2015 to February 2019.
